I need help with a couple of children born to an Elizabeth Hibbert at Dronfield, Derby.
1. John Rigid Hibbert b 2/10/1803 (yep that's the name) 2. George Hibbert b 2/8/1808
Not sure if its Miss.... or Mrs. Hibbert.
How can I find out if she was married to Mr Hibbert or if this was her maiden name.
This is off the IGI site Batch Number J049932 looks like they are brothers.
Thanks Barb

It is complimentary to the IGI with the same info., but can be searched by church then surname instead of just surname.
You will see that there is only the mother's name which may mean she was unmarried & it was her maiden name. There is also another John Hibbert , born 11th Jan 1804 Dronfield with only a mother's name, Rebecca. There is a Goerge Hibbert born 3rd Jan 1825 Dronfield father Thomas, mother Elizabeth.
Hope this helps,

Rebecca married William Hardwick Snr in Dronfield on 15/4/1805. His first wife must have died he had 2 sons William and ? b 1796 & 1798. Not the line I'm chasing.
Elizabeth Walker I think is defacto to John Hibbert. Their son George (My Gt Gt Grandpa was sent to Tassie in 1843 for 7 years......was a widower at 37 and in Tassie aged about35.
I did find another Elizabeth Walker who married John HIbbert in London, not her.
Thanks anyway Barb
