Place name Stradrima

I have come across the name Stradrima as a place of birth for an ancestor round about the 1830s. I am certain it is within Co Leitrim.

It sounds like it could be a townland to me.

Any ideas where it might be and if this is the correct spelling?

(This has come from a family tree that has been transcribed onto another site and the owner is not contactable)

There's a website which is fantastic for finding townlands and parishes in Ireland. Not working at the moment but just keep trying until it comes back (every now and then it's unavailable). Be sure to change default setting from exact match for searching part of a name.

Beware of the fact that "Stra..." is often an anglicisation of "Sra...".

So on www.seanruad.com you need to search both for names beginning Stra and for names beginning Sra.

You will find quite a few!
