Thank you, Wozzle. Both these records do, I'm sure, refer to the right Mary Ann. She married George SMITH in 1854 at Holy Trinity, Milton By Gravesend, Kent. George SMITH must've died, or otherwise vanished, because she married William GENTRY. I just thought it'd be good to verify that, as SMITH, she was listed as a widow in the marriage to Wm GENTRY. I wonder who George SMITH was!
I think there's something odd going on, and must check on my facts.
Thanks,
Jamie

It's my fault, sorry. I've been confusing my PORTERS and SMITHS. The census details you sent are great – thank you. Mary Ann PORTER married a SMITH, so the one I'm interested in here is the Mary Ann SMITH who you found.
I have her (Mary Ann SMITH) as being born in 1836 at Maldon St. Peter. But there is a FreeBMD record that she and William GENTRY were married at Maldon, Essex in the December quarter of 1856. I was on the wrong trail looking for a GENTRY/SMITH marriage in Kent.
Is it possible for this to be checked?
Thank you,
Jamie

Yes it is the marriage register details I wanted, if it were possible. The Kent records for marriages at Holy Trinity at Milton by Gravesend are available online. I don't suppose the ones for St. Peters, Maldon, Essex are, though.
I was mistakenly looking for a marriage for Mary Ann PORTER and there was one in Kent, but I should've been looking for Mary Ann SMITH's marriage in Maldon, Essex.
The census records you kindly sent seem conclusive. So, I probably don't need further evidence of the marriage. But, if you have other census results, I'd be grateful.
Sorry to have been so confusing.
Jamie
