Hello
I've been trying to find the wife and children of George Eskrett (b 1857 in Waltham, Lincolnshire) in the 1901 census. I have found George, a bricklayer, boarding with others at 101 Great Thornton Street, age 43. But I can't find his wife Mary Ann and their children (apart from George Benjamin and Albert Edward, who both married between 1891 and 1901).
I have George and Mary Ann Eskrett (nee Nicholson) on the 1891 census, living at 4 Elm Grove, Sculcoates, Hull. George Eskrett, 33, Bricklayer, Waltham, Linc. Mary Ann Eskrett, 34, Dressmaker, Barton on Humber, Linc. Gertrude Eskrett, 15, Dressmaker, Hull George Benjamin Eskrett, 14, Bricklayer, Hull Harriet Elizabeth Eskrett, 12, Scholar, Hull Albert Edward Eskrett, 11, Scholar, Hull Mary Ann Eskrett, 7, Scholar, Hull Eva Lillian Eskrett, 3 months, Hull
But where's Mary Ann, Gertrude, Harriet, Mary Ann jnr., and Eva? Is this page missing from the 1901 census?
Many thanks Rachel

Hi Rachel,
Harriet Elizabeth married in the June 1/4 1896 in Sculcotes, Vol 9d, page 370 (possibly hubby James Larvin, there are 2 women on the page and only 1 man)
Gertrude married in September 1/4 1896 in Sculcotes, Vol 9d, page 228 to either Walter Sidney Holmes or Thomas Maw.
Geroge is transcribes as Married on the 1901 so you would assume that Mary Ann was still alive...

Wow, thank you all! That was fast! Thanks for filling in the gaps for me I guess the only mystery left is the whereabouts of his wife, Mary Ann... perhaps she died? I'll do some digging...
Thanks again Rachel
