Sorry Sofee,
I'm a lurker on this board and don't have any hard info for you. FYI, There was a Benjamin King marrying an Ann Nichol in Wick, Caithness, on 21 Jan 1797 - from the IGI - who had the children listed above. Just had a quick look for his birth- no luck on the IGI - Have you tried Scotlands People?.
(I wouldn't worry about only the one 'l' in Anns surname. However there is no guarantee that this is the same couple.
I've got to go now. But shall have a look tommorow. Regards, Steve :O)

Arrgh Sofee,
Given the info re Mary born abt 1797 - back on to the IGI which gives following a search for a Mary King - born to Benjamin King and Mary Nicol (note spelling of Marys surname).
MARY KING Gender: Female Christening: 24 MAR 1797 Wick, Caithness, Scotland ......................................................................................................................................
Fathers name Benjamin King only: JEAN KING Christening: 10 MAY 1799 Wick, Caithness, Scotland ............................................................................................................................. Benjamin King and 'Henny' Nicol. Possibly a mistranslation of ? Annie?
ANNE KING Christening: 27 MAY 1801 Wick, Caithness, Scotland ............................................................................................................................... The three children here are on the same batch no., so same father. Mary also ties in with the children of the first post when I ran a batch no. (Apologies for entering William twice there).
Food for thought. Regards, Steve :O)
