Hi Rick and Tish

This is what it says - i'm not convinced about Gorleston - see one above  Undecided

Still think it might be Winterton - deffo Norfolk - but a very flowery W

Elspet's parents, James and Mary,  married 26 Oct 1877, Parish Church, Cruden, Aberdeenshire.

James Allan, engine driver, bach, 20. Port Errol, Cruden. Parents - James Allan, farmer and Isabella, m.s. McKay

and Mary Noble, fisherman's daughter, sp, 19.  Port Errol, Cruden. Parents - Alexander Noble, fisherman and Margaret, m.s. Summers

As both sets of parents were alive at the marriage in 1877, you should be able to find them on the censuses.

Hi Tish

I think we ought to let you get all this digested now, and I know that you'd probably like to work through it yourself  Smiley

If you would like further info from censuses, etc. , do give a shout.
