Carole - Re Foster Family - you did it. Geroge's wife Amy was born in the US but was brought up in England, and I think she worked in a brush factory at a very young age. My grandfather George worked in a bicycle shop here for years. Where do I go for a marriage certificate? I can't believe you got this much. Thank you.

Hi
Charles & Alice Foster were still alive in 1901 living in Watford Herts. Children Herbert, Frank & Ernest are still with them plus additional children William 7 and Alice 3 both b Southampton Hants
John & Jane Barnes were still alive in 1901 living in Chesham both aged 57 - John is actually indexed as age 47 because the enumerator has drawn a line through his age so it's unclear
You will need to search freebmd for their deaths as they could have lived a long time after 1901 http://freebmd.rootsweb.com
If the deaths have not been transcribed, you will need to search the full GRO index which is available at your nearest main library and can also be searched online if you have an Ancestry subscription or at www.findmypast.com which is a paysite

Thank you again Carol. Will do. Sorry I am so slow - was working on my mother's side for awhile. I am well over 70 and hope that my daughters, grandchildren, and a couple of great grandkids appreciate what you have done.
