Aukland birth lookup please anyone

Hi All
I am in Australia and need to order a birth certificate from NZ, however I am not sure which year I need them to check (trying to keep cost down!)
If anyone could look in the indexes for the below birth in Auckland I would appreciate it:
Name:  ALFRED BANKS
Born between 1876 and 1878 in Auckland to Milliam and Eliza Banks.
I am pretty sure the index number is #74 in the year 1877, however want to make sure there are no others in the years either side, as this info I get many years ago and am not quite sure where I got it from now!

Hi Karyn

I have checked the birth fiche for the years 1876 to 1878.
You are correct only one Alfred Banks 1877 #74 Auckland, parents names are not listed.

Printout of Historic Registrations
If your search on the microfiche is successful, you may wish to purchase either a certificate or a printout (which usually contains more information than a certificate). A printout costs NZ$26.00 if the event took place from 1848 to 1874, or NZ$20.00 if the event took place after 1874.
Have taken the above from the Department of Internal Affairs website, just double checking that you get a Electronic Printout because they do contain more information and are cheaper.
