Richard Jones Wright c.1812
« on: Wednesday 06 February 08 11:12 GMT (UK) »

If anyone has access to parish records in Northamptonsire I would be very grateful for a lookup for Richards baptism around 1812.
Richard a shoemaker was married to Mary Kenning in 1832 at Weston Favell. (census records show this is where he was born) His father is listed as Richard Wright farmer.

Would love to find out who his mother is and any other details.

Thanks,
John

Marilyn,

Wonderful news, I posted more in hope than expectation and am very pleased to have found out his mothers name.
As usual it leads to more questions so I may be posting again soon.
What a fantastic message board!

Many Thanks,
John

Richard

I am jealous...

You are lucky that the father was named.

2 of my 8 great grandparents were illegitimate, I have no idea who their fathers were. That is a quarter of my ancestry that is lost!

Hello Sandy and Marilyn

Sorry for slow reply, been watching football.

Firstly thanks Sandy for the details re. Richard Jones Wright. I had found rough dates of events in BMD's but I really appreciate your efforts in finding me detailed dates and places. ( I am a man who likes to cross the t's and dot the i's)

And Marilyn, yes I am lucky to at least have the chance to follow both lines of the family. What a shame for you to have such a chunk of your ancestry missing.

I am descended through Richards daughter Emma who moved to Sheffield which is where I live. I am glad to have found this site so I can get help with my ancestors from slightly further afield.

Thanks again for your help,
John
