Woodford Parish Register
« on: Wednesday 06 February 08 12:05 GMT (UK) »

Where would I start looking for the Parish Register (transcripts or scans/etc) for Woodford (Woodford Halse/Woodford/Woodford cum Membris) and Hinton (Hinton in the Hedges)?

I have a Northamptonshire disc of transcript from the Parish Register Transcription Society, but it does not cover the areas/dates I am interested in.
Example - it has Hinton marriages only 1558-1754.

I have a marriage I am looking for c1820 as well as baptisms and death/burials.

Hi Kia. I had a return phonecall from our local vicar. it seems they only keep parish records from 1900 onwards in the village. Earlier village records are kept at The County Archivist's Office in Northampton. Phone; 01604762129 or e mail; archivist@nro.northamptonshire.gov.uk.
Hope this helps.
Regards Nick.
