I am very sorry, but I clicked something wrong I guess and my complete message was not posted.  I am looking for help from someone who could perhaps have information on the following family.

Parents: John Humpherson (1663) & Elizabeth Pentrin

Children: John (1687) - Spouse Ann (unknown)
               Mary (1689);  Elizabeth (1689);  Thomas (1690);  Edward (1692);
               Richard (1684) - Died: January 21,1594/95
               Joseph (1696) - Died: August 19, 1697
               William (1697)

Thank you for taking the time to read this.  Hope to hear from you.

Hi Doris  Smiley

It was a link to your other message - I read the other one and saw that you'd not completed this one with the full details so I put the link up to the one with all the details.

I did look but don't have any info. on them in my Shropshire records  Sad

Gadget,

Thank you very kindly for your help.  I guess when the years go so far back it is harder to get information.  I just took a chance with the hope that someone night recognize the names,

Thank you.

If I find anything at all, I'll put it on the other thread  Smiley

Those early records are pretty difficult. have you tried searching for wills, the A2A site or the National Archives:

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
Important wills on this site but usually will be in local archives/libraries

http://www.a2a.org.uk/
This site has a wonderful collection of all sorts of documents

Hi Doris

Don't know if you have this:

The IGI www.familysearch.org has the marriage of a John Humphreyson to Elizabeth Pentrin on 11th May 1687 at St Mary, Shrewsbury

It's a patron submission so hasn't been subject to the LDS's rigid scrutiny and would need to be checked against the Shrewsbury records but it's a start.

Gadget,

Many thanks again.  I did not have John & maria"s wedding date.  That's a start and maybe more will follow.

Lizdb,

Re John & Maria and the Census, I have nothing.  I am a senior who resides in Nova Scotia, Canada and find it very hard in finding out information on my English Ancestors.

Help!!
In the combining of the threads have we lost the original reference to John and MAria?

We seem to be back in the 1600's now with john and Elizabeth!

Hi Liz and Doris

Might be partly my fault because of the various threads  Undecided  Embarrassed  Undecided

First - the census info - not sure if this is of any relevance but the only reference to a John Humpherson and a Maria in the Lillieshall area is this one:

1871

RG10/2812 Folio 101 Page 16-17

119 Waxhill Houses, Donnington,  Lilleshall

John Humpherson, 63, Chartermaster
Meriah,  63, Chartermaster,
John, 41, Chartermaster
Elizabeth, 34, dressmaker
Aaron, 28, miner
Emma, 21
Emily Harris, grd daughter, 7, scholar

All born Lillieshall

I've found another John Humpherson and Maria in Staffs on the 1851 but there seems no Shropshire connection.

Re John Humpherson/Humphreyson's marriage to Elizabeth Pentrin. I can confirm that it is in the Shrewsbury, St Mary records.

Regards
