Francis Family of St Margarets/Michaelchurch Eskley

I am researching the name of Francis in Herefordshire, in particular St Margarets or Michaelchurch Eskley.  I have a Richard Francis born 1816 Michaelchurch Eskley (according to 1861 Census) or born 1823 St Margarets (according to 1871 Census).  I would love to go back another generation.  Does anyone know of this family, can anyone help?  Regards Trish

Hi Trish,

His age is recorded as 55 in 1871 so ca. 1816 seems a good bet  Cheesy

Both 1861 and 1851 show his birthplace as St Margarets. The IGI has a very tempting extracted christening:
RICHARD FRANCIS Christening 11 FEB 1816   Saint Margaret, Hereford
Father ROBERT FRANCIS  Mother SARAH

Robert Francis married Sarah Lloyd in St Nicholas Hereford in September 1796

There's a Thomas Francis christened on the same day as Richard to the same parents  Smiley
