Hi I'm new to this so please be patient with me.

I'm interested in the Surmame of QUINCE mainly from Benwick, Doddington, and March.  Also GUTTERIDGE family from Whittlesey.

Any info gratefully recieved

You might like to look at the LDS website which has extracts of some Parishes   ...

try searching it with Hugh Wallis useful 'front-end', which allows you to go via County to the places in question.

You'll see pre (and some post) 1837 baptisms and marriages there.

You can then look at the Census from 1841 onward - ask for a lookup ...

There are Cambridgeshire baptism records on http://www.cfhs.org.uk/BaptismIndex/index.html and all sorts of other Cambridgeshire indexes that may help.
