Hello  Grin
Can anyone give me some info. on JAMES A. DENNIS born in IFORD ESSEX in 1876 .Ihave found him married to ELIZA ANN NICHOLLS and living at 110 stafford road on the 1901 census ,but cannot find him on the 1891 or1881.
must be doing something wrong.

that must be a record for a reply,
thanks but yes i have discounted this james mine is an ARNOLD .and this james is from little ILFORD i thought there was a typing error but they are 2 different places

Well, I can't see any other match and it does sound a bit suspect that those 2 can never be found on a same census ... 

I suppose this is your James' birth

I couldn't find a birth registration for a James H Dennis so was assuming the H instead of A was an enumeration mistake.

The 1901 census image quite clearly says Ilford for your man Huh

thanks for the info i suspect you are correct with the spelling on both counts,i was confused by the little ilford part so will now continue my search down this route with the marriage cert.
