here is Thomas Foyle and Ann's son's birth;

William Thomas Foyle 1838, Sep ~ Blandford  Dorset

so they had to have been married circa 1837 .... Cannot find it ....nothing on IGI either .... I was assuming Ann was a Sturney as John was there in 1841 ...  Undecided

arrgghhhhh  Cool

One of my bits of paper ...

Quote
"Sarah Foyle d/o Abe & Eliz Cutler
bp. 1/Nov/1772 Witchampton
m. Edward FRIPP 23/May/1795 Witchampton.

Ch. :-
William bp 11/June/1797
Betty bp 5/Dec/1802
Thomas bp 1806
Abraham Foyle Fripp b 1808  d 1810
Frances bp 29/May/1812 d. same year

All Witchampton.

Sarah Fripp (the mother) d. in childbirth, bur 29/Mar/1812"

The last two don't add up ... how can the mother die in childbirth two months before the child was born ?!

Over to you ... I've done the service for the morning, but now have to eat !   Back soon ...

Lydart,

The date for Frances (29 May 1812) is for her  baptism not her birth so it could add up!

Isaac Foyle's baptism, so now we know who the mother is (Ann Triggle)

Isaac FOYLE son of Joseph (blacksmith) & Ann, 29.11.1818 Witchampton

.................

How about this, though...YIPPEE!!!  gotcha...   Grin Grin

Blandford St Mary
10.9.1837
Thomas FOYLE otp m. Ann STURMEY otp  by Banns
Witnesses John Prince, Kezia Sturmey

Problem is, who is Ann...can't be any of John & Sally's kids that we already know about, they are at home in 1841, and their Ann m. Samuel Trowbridge in 1843...

I thought I'd have a look to see if I could find a Kezia Sturmey, to give us a clue, and here she is:

Keziah STURMEY dau. of Joseph (labourer) & Sarah chr. 3 Oct 1813 Blandford St Mary

Has anyone already done her parents and siblings? I'm losing the plot a bit here, too much time off sick...  Sad

...................

ADDED: draft tree on it's way by PM, Lydart - but I expect to have to update it again quite soon!
