John Edwards 1811 and Margaret Owens 1838 had 5 children - Margaret 1860, Edward 1860, Mary Ann 1864, John 1868 and Louisa 1870. All children were born in Brymbo, near Wrexham, Denbighshire.
Mary Ann had a son, John, in 1880. He was included in 1881 census, with Mary living at home with her family, but apparently was put up for adoption. Does anyone know whether Mary Ann got married later on, and perhaps had more children?
Thanks in anticipation.

I'm flagging this item up again as I've not had any responses. Surely there must be some record of what happened to Mary Ann. She didn't raise her first son, John. Did she marry and have further children, or could she have died?
I would also like to trace back two generations to Mary Ann's grand-parents if possible. Her father was John Edwards b1811 Wrexham and her mother was Margaret Owens b1838 Wrexham. I know John's mother was called Margaret b1775 Denbighshire (1841 census mentions her). I don't have anything on Margaret Owens. John & Margaret's children were Margaret 1860, Edward 1862, Mary Ann 1864, John 1868 & Louisa 1870. Although John is quite old for children born from 1860 he doesn't appear to have married before.
Any little snippets would be great.

Hi James, I looked at Brymbo baptisms 1860-1870. I couldn't see baptisms for any children of John & Margaret Edwards.
Are you sure you have the correct dates? If John was born 1811 he is 27 years older than Margaret, fathered his first child at 50 and Louisa(If she was his last) at 60. Just a thought.

Hi Paul I have been researching line of his son Edward b1862-d1942.
1881: John 1811 head (no wife) - occupation: clerk John 1866 Mary Ann 1863 Louisa 1870 John 1880 grandson (18th Jan) Edward 1862
1871 census: John Edwards 1811 Wrexham - Publican Mount Pleasant Inn, Broughton Margaret Edwards 1838 Wrexham Margaret Edwards 1860 Wrexham Edward Edwards 1862 Wrexham John Edwards 1868 Wrexham Louisa Elizabeth Edwards 1870 Wrexham
1861 Not sure but I think I find John 1811 unmarried, farmer of 50 acres Brymbo.
1851 Again not sure but think I find John 1811 unmarried farming in Brymbo with his mother age 76 who is head of household plus farm hands.
I have been contacted by a descendant of the grandson John born 1880 who has only recently traced his mother was Mary Ann Edwards. I can't find him or Mary Ann on 1891/1901 censi. The grandson eventually took the name John Owens.
As you can see, this has quite a few strands to it. Any help in resolving some of them would be great.
