Hi ruffus

The only Heck connection I have is William Richardson and Jean Bell being 2nd GG parents of your David b1880. On page 1 you will find our Richardson FT.

My connection is through your Davids brother James b1891 who was my Grandfather. My uncle (your Davids nephew)told me recently that he thought David b1880 may have died in Carlisle Undecided and another brother Samuel died in WW1 Battle of the Somme Undecided
I would be interested learning from you about David marriage, death,  children anything you care to share also about Agnes.

I believe Maggie Jane Richardson was born 24/7/1907 but do not know mothers name. Understand mother dumped child onto Granny Jane Muir Richardson at Lochside. Later there must have been an incident after 1924 when James's wife sorted everybody out & sent some on their way! Lips Sealed
Father David married Janet Johnstone 4/12/1908 @Half Morton and produced Elizabeth ,Agnes & James between 1909 &1912 and lived in Eskdalemuir, DMFS. David died at Crooks, Eskdalemuir and all family are at rest in Bentpath Cemetry.
As regards Agnes,I understand Jonnie was born 1902 @ Johnsfield & eventually married to live at Templand with wife and two sons who died early but have no other details except I am told he worked on Railway & may have died 1980ish in Nursing home at Lockerbie.
Meanwhile take the marriage 13/1/1911 of Agnes Little Richardson aged 28 to Adam Byers Rogerson at Lochmaben to be the same people who landed Quebec Ex Canadian Pacific liner Metagama with children John 15, David 13 & 3 year old Jean.
My Ruth has memories of Canadian troops calling at their house towards end WW2 but don't know how to investigate that side of the family story.

Hi ruffus

many thanks for so much info. My uncle was so wrong on Davids death being Carlisle and poss wrong with Samuels death WW1 Battle of the Somme Roll Eyes.

I had a look on Find my past and could see Adam,Agnes and children went to Quebec in 1927. Did Adam die in Quebec ? saw his death date as 1957 on a web site no death date for Agnes though.

Although I cannot offer any new info on Agnes I could give you some details of her maternal Gparents & GG parents & step/siblings.

I wish you luck in your search for Agnes & would be interested in any new info on Agnes should you find any.

My uncles father was James (Agnes's bro& my grandparents)b1891 Dryfesdale died 1941 Lochmaben married Mary Jane Baird Tweedie 1922 Lochmaben they had 6children.
