Unless you have any other information - then I think the only way you're going to find this is either from the original parish record ( if he was baptised,) or by sending for his birth certificate.

Your probably right I found his name in Dilwyn School book of memories although the Dyers are from that village Sydney is not a name anyone in the family can recall, so i will have to do a bit more investigating.
