Framp or Frampton name interest
« on: Wednesday 31 March 04 11:16 UTC (UK) »

I am researching the Framp family in Milborne Port (Somerset) but this is very near the dorset border.  Also my framps  changed their name from Frampton as his name was James Frampton and apparently one of the prosecutors of the Tolpuddle martyrs was a james frampton (no relation) and I presume my james wanted to distance himself from him.

Also james & his brother went to newfoundland on the whaling ships. His brother william stayed but he returned home.

if anyone has a connection to this family i would enjoy sharing the research
