Dear Fellow Rootschatters I am a little confused to say the least I have from the IGI found 2 baptisms
1) Abigail Abraham, father William mother Abigail 05/09/1804 at Olney Bucks
2) Abigail Abraham father William mother Abigail 30/04/1815 at Emberton Bucks
I have been unable to find a death for Abigail born 1804 on my NBI but found the second one married to William Dix 1836
I would like to see the actual church records for the baptism and marriage, I know it is a long shot but it occurred to me someone might have the details on fiche
I would be most grateful if some kind soul would furnish me with these details.
Regards
Louisa Maud

Hi
Can't help with a lookup - sorry - but just for info - it is not at all unusual to find a later child named after a deceased sibling. It happened a lot in those days and was considered a mark of respect to the dead
You will find loads of such entries on the IGI
The NBI does not list every death and unfortunately - marriages pre-1837 do not show the fathers name
The IGI has an 1803 marriage of William Abraham to Abigail Briggs but in Bedford - not Bucks

It really was a long shot to be honest, what you have said I totally agree with you, yes the marriage in Bedford is them, he was born circa 1777 but I can't find anthing about him prior to that, I think I am just going to have to forget about him till perhaps I can get out to Aylesbury where I think the records are Thank you Carole

Hi again I think I would certainly accept the christening, but which set parents William married Abigail Briggs, I assume she might have come from Apsley Guise, marriage 1803 I think from memory I am going to have to have another look at these but Carole, thanks for your impute
