Please does anyone know the parents of Stephen Birkumshaw born c1823 in Heanor? He married Georgiana Wright in 1847 in the Ashby de la Zouch area and their first child John Henry was born in Whitwick. They then moved to the Clay Cross area. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks The Newfster. I think I have Stephen in 1841 in Whitwick with Thomas 27 and James 16 or 13 but no obvious parents. They were all coalminers. I may have to send for the marriage certificate but thought I would give this a try first!!
