a wee look at the igi's suggest that william dickson married margaret burnet at ladykirk, on the 16th june 1822.

a further check says that margaret burnet was the daughter of robert burnet and elizabeth logan and that she was christened 24th nov 1804 ladykirk.

a wee check of the census says

1841 census; hutton hall barnes cottages

robert...age 71...ag labourer
elizabeth...age 68

both born berwick

1851 census; hutton hall barnes cottages

robert...age 81...ag labourer...born eccles
elizabeth...age 77...born ladykirk

Peter Johnstone for 54 yrs. the faithful servant of Messr's Home of Fairlaw d. there 17.8.1886 78yrs. dau. Elizabeth 5.8.1843 3 mths. son George 22.11.43 3 yrs. son Peter 17.9.1854 18 yrs. wife Elizabeth McDougall d. at Fairlaw 23.5.1897 89 yrs.  (88 in D/Reg).
