Help needed with date of burial.

Hi

I found the burial of Cicely Greene (in Wybunbury) on the Cheshire Parish Register Project but for the life of me I cannot work out the actual date of burial. All that I can see is a jumble of numbers which resemble a bar code!  Can someone decipher it for me please.

Just stick a one in front, it reads left to right 1591(year) 01 (Month) 11 (day)

Hi Jayson - take you mean the one where the date is shown as 5910111. According to the notes at
http://www.csc.liv.ac.uk/~cprdb/Live/v3.3/hindex.html
This would be in the format YYYMMDD, so is 11 January 1591.

See Quiller has the same as I tried to post.

Thanks everyone - really appreciate your help with this.  Wink  I suppose I ought to have read the introduction page first, however, I'm just a bit too lazy sometimes. Grin But seriously, I do wish they'd make it a bit more clearer so people don't have to refer to another page to work it all out.  Undecided
