A small scale map of the southern part of England is surrounded by 25 advertisements of Swindon traders. This folded map has a simple cover of which part is missing. The title is BEST ROADS TO BEST TRADERS. No date is shown but there are clues in very short telephone numbers and in the illustration which I hope is seen here. Does anyone have an idea when wirelesses like this were being sold? Thanks, Toby.

Hi Ricky, Really well done. Gecophone & a loudspeaker bring me to the conclusion, which I think is supported by other illustrations & the short telephone numbers, that this was about 1923 - 1925. Many thanks. Toby.

Hi Ricky. I knew the company as a child. It was half way down the Victoria hill which originally separated Old Swindon from Brunel's New Swindon. Any electrical problem and Mr. Moran was called in. Toby.

GECophone, would of course be marketed by the General Electric Co. Limited of London (not the GE of America), the valves would be imported OSRAM from Germany or made under licence by GEC in the UK.

Thanks Bill for that bit extra. I hadn't thought of GECophone being GEC. Obvious once it's pointed out. It all helps to paint an interesting picture. Toby.

Thanks Ricky. It all helps to confirm the date of 1923 - 25. Toby.
