I have accidently added a posting to the Leicestershire census lookup board, somehow I have posted it without finishing it, how do I either modify it or delete the posting entirely? I really feel totally silly for doing this!!
Thanks for any help

You are quite right. Only moderators or admin can delete postings.
In general we want postings to remain on the system even when they are complete so others can benefit from them. If a post needs deleting for a genuine reason (e.g. its been put on twice by mistake) then feel free to report it to a moderator by clicking on the "report to moderator" link on each post.
Best wishes

Ticker I have often wondered myself why the modify button only appears on some mail and not others i always have one I would be lost without . There is not a single one on this topic. Why is that
Celia ... only the author should (in the normal course of events) be able to modify a posting ...... if you check there should be a modify button for you only on the posting you have made.
As usual Falkryn is spot on! And as usual has beaten me to a response too!
Best wishes
