Please can I ask for help to find Joseph Steel Tweedie and his wife Catherine on a South Africa ship list. Joseph b1856 Lochmaben, Dumfriesshire, Stone Mason, Catherine Tweedie nee Ross/Rice b1862 poss Lochmaben. Joseph & Catherine married Glasgow 1876 and divorced Dec 1886. on divorce paper 1886 say Joseph S Tweedie presently residing in Lochmaben,Dumfriesshire and Catherine his wife at the International Hotel, Kimberly, South Africa. Family story suggests Joseph went to South Africa to work on a bridge being built. I have tried Ships Lists,Olive Tree lists and few others but cannot remember the names. Any help or suggestions appreciated.
