Hi All!
I've lost a few of my research notes and only seem to have 'Nottingham/Basford' down as a location and wondered if anyone could check the c/returns for a street for me.
The missing addresses are for:
1901
Nottingham
William R Broughton b1866, Pinchbeck, Boarder Mary A Stokes b1868, Old Basford, Head William B Stokes, b1895, Nottingham, Son George Stokes, b1900, Hyson Green, Son
and
1871
Basford
Thomas Stokes 1837 Jane 1839 Thomas Nat 1861 Charlotte 1864 Violeta 1867 Mary Ann 1868 Jane Ann 1870
I would really appreciate it if anyone would check out the addresses for me. (I'll be more thorough in future )
Thank you!
Helen.
WHOOPS! I've just realised I didn't even make a note of their occupations. I seem to think I shoe-boxed them on Ancestry, without realising I wouldn't be able to view them again once my subscription ran out.

Hi Helen,
just thought I'd register my interest as I also have Stokes from Radcliffe in my tree...
I have a potential baptism for your Thomas 22 April 1838 to William and Charlotte. Does that sound right?

Hi again Suz, thanks for the info. You've been really helpful just lately. It is very much appreciated!
Hello again Heather, yes, I have matching parents for Thomas. So it looks like we have a connection! He was my husband's gg grandfather. I have a photo of daughter Mary Ann.
Thanks again,
Helen

Well I'm not sure how we connect but I'm sure we will eventually ...your family is on my "to do" list
Your William and Charlotte were having children in Radcliffe at the same time as my Thomas and Sarah. I suspect William and Thomas are cousins but haven't proved it yet.

Hi Heather,
It states on one of the c/rs that his place of birth is Ratcliffe, but am I right in thinking it should be Radcliffe?
Thanks,
Helen

You were right in the first place Suz ..... Ratcliff(e) is a common early spelling of Radcliffe and so it's easily confused with Ratcliffe on Soar
But these Stokes are definitely from Radcliffe...
