Hi again Debbie,
According to the 1901 census the details of which you have posted on another thread, the last child was George W Bennett born ca. 1892
Tracing Sarah back is proving trickier. The best match I see on the 1871 census is:
1871 Ashbourne, Derbyshire RG10/3598 47 34 & 35 Bank Yard Joseph Gallimore, head, unm, 45, Clock Maker, b. Derby Ashbourne Sarah Hudson, lodger, unm, 34, Twist Reeler, b. Snelston Primrose Hudson, lodger, 14, Cotton Spinner, b. Derby Snelston Sarah Hudson, lodger, 7, scholar, b. Derby Sarah Wood, lodger, unm, 31, Hawker, b. Staffordshire Cheadle
but I can't promise it's her.
1861 shows that Primrose is Sarah's son. I'm unable to ID a definite birth registration for Sarah Ann or Primrose - hope someone else can help

Hi Findings now that Sarah Ann may not be Hudson but Youson!
Records show George BENNETT married Sarah Ann YOUSON (not HUDSON) In 1881 in Derby June Quarter 7b 787

Well, I'm really having trouble finding her in 1871!
Looking at BMD, there seems to be only one Youson family producing children in the Derby registration district around the time of Sarah Ann's birth but in 1871 the girl of the right age is called Susannah instead of Sarah Ann (confusingly, I can't see a birth registration for a Susan* Youson!)
1871 RG10/3568 24 42 Derby St Peter 21 Grove St John Youson, head, 33, Striker in Ironworks, b. Leicester Hannah, wife, 33, b. Derbyshire Rodsley Arthur, son, 14, b. Derby Walter, son, 12, b. do. Anne, dau, 10, scholar, b. do. Susannah, dau, 8, scholar, b. do. Eliza, dau, 2, b. do. Ellen, dau, 3 months, b. do.
I reckon you'll need the birth cert to tell if this is the right family unless we find a link between this family and the Gilberts. It seems Hannah's maiden name was Beeson and I notice she was born in Rodsley, just like Sarah Gilbert ...

The 1841 shows this family:
Longford, Derbyshire Rodsley HO107/181/11 4 17 Francis Beeson, 56, Ag lab Hannah, 38, ditto John, 23, ditto William, 16, ditto Sarah, 12, ditto George, 7, ditto Hannah, 4, ditto
Tempting - both girls are the right age - but I can't find a Sarah Beeson/John Gilbert marriage!
My gut feeling is that they belong to you and that Susannah is in fact Sarah Ann but even I wouldn't accept it without evidence (ie. Sarah's marriage cert or birth cert)
