Hi

Looking for

John Lister aged 57 b. Yorkshire
James Lister son aged 22 Mechanic. Hightown, Yorkshire


James was married by 1861 and living in Oldlham

Hoping that he is in the Olsham area in 1851

Lister has also been spelt Leicester/Lester

There is this Family on the 1851 Census John's Age is stated as 51 But the Census Images Looks Like 57

1851 Census

12 Manchester Street Oldham Below Town

John Lister Head M 57 Auctioneer and Broker b Bristall Yorkshire
Sarah Lister Wife 58                                      b Cheshire Congleton
James Lister Son 22 Mechanic                        b Bristall Yorkshire
Sarah Ann Lister 18 House Servant                b Bristall Yorkshire

Class: HO107; Piece: 2240; Folio: 160; Page: 3

Do you Know if John and Sarah had a Son called Joshua ?

I found This  Family on the 1841 Census But not sure if its the Right one's

Horsedge St Prestwich Cum Oldham Lancashire

John Lister 40 Occupation/?/ b of County No
Sarah Lister 45                      b of county no
James Lister 12                      b of County No
Joshua Lister 11                     b of County No
Ann Lister (could be sarah ann ) 9  b of County No

Thanks, I have just checked the igi site and there is Christenings for. James, Sarah Ann,Joshua Mary & Catherine,

So it looks like it could be the correct family.
