Frederick Harding m? Emma Taylor
« on: Monday 18 February 08 20:38 GMT (UK) »

Hi All

I have Emma Taylor having children with Frederick Harding in Western Australia after 1866, But I can't find a marriage for them in WA.  I've looked in NSW with no luck, and apparently they don't show up in South Aus either.

Emma Taylor was born in England in abt 1848 but came to Australia in 1852, first to SA and then to WA.

Can anyone find a marriage anywhere else, or have any suggestions?

Regards

Hello  there

no  the marriage  wasn't in SA

I  take  it  you  have ben  able  to trace Emma Taylor, di you do that thru  certificates?

what about  Frederick Harding?

Does WA death certificate  not  include any  marriage details?

Hi Jenn

Thanks for your response.  I don't have any certificates.  Emma is a bit of an offshoot of my tree, so I don't want to go to that expense at this stage.  Just thought they may show up on the indexes somewhere.

What I do have is that Emma Clinch Harding (daughter) married Sydney Hall Jackson in WA in 1901 and another researcher has a copy of that certficate which states the parent's names as Frederick Harding and Emma Taylor.  Emma Taylor is the daughter of Charles Taylor and Emma Clinch.

Hi again All

There is a marriage in the WA indexes in 1866 for Emma Taylor and Abraham Harden.   There are no Harden births between 1866 and 1880, and there are no Harding births with father listed as Abraham.  Perhaps this is the marriage I am looking for, although where the name Abraham came from, I've no idea. Huh
