Hi al,

Could you give us a few more hints about Rosina?

Her age, her birth place, her parents??

Her name does not appear in the online vital stats of BC.

Have looked at Free BMD and see a Rosina Gollop registered Axminster in 1886,
from free 1901 census, an R. Gollop, age 17, born St. Thomas, Devon in Jersey in 1901, and an adult female Gollop who travelled between Liverpool and New York in 1904.

It looks like Arthur and Rose married in 1914 in Calgary.

He returned from war on August 10, 1919.

Ship Manifest for Arthur

The "Lake Manitoba" arrived in Saint John Canada 3 times in 1905.
(If you check the manifest, it should state his intended destination.)
http://tinyurl.com/2mh6gs

Last name: Blenman
First name: Arthur
Sex: Male
Age: 24
Year of departure: 1905
Departure: Liverpool
Ship name: Lake Manitoba
Destination: Canada  (Saint John New Brunswick)

You can also search for his returning for the war in 1919.

If you can find Rosina on the 1911 Census, it should say when she immigrated. (provided of course she immigrated before 1911) Undecided

Do you know the day and month that Arthur and Rosina were married?  If so, you could look it up in the Calgary Herald to see if there is any information that might help. All the reference said was 1914 and it is a little difficult searching every paper.  Tongue
