Surnames & Places 1690---1800
« on: Wednesday 31 March 04 23:46 UTC (UK) »

Hi All,

Would like to hear from you if you have an interest in the following names.

BEECROFT / BECRAFT + Varients
HOBBS
BRACEY
RANDALL

The places these people connect to are:

CHESHUNT, HITCHIN, LETCHWORTH & BROXBOURNE

from the 1690's to the early 1800's

I know that one, if not more members of the BEECROFT family moved into Surrey in the early 1800's. There his name became BECRAFT.

Cheers

Hi Geoff
I have an interst in the HOBBS family in herts but my interest at present seems to be in Bovingdon. Do you have any connections there?

Hi P@B Huh

Sorry, all my HOBB line are in Hitchin, but there are quite a few male members who's line I haven't searched out yet.
Whether any of them moved the 20 odd miles to Bovingdon I don't know.

The earliest recording I have is for the births of the children of Jonathon & Abigail HOBBS of Hitchin.
They had 8 children between 1721 & 1741.

Cheers
