I'm trying to find the parents of my Great Grandmother.

Her name was Mary Ann Baker and I believe she was born in Canterbury, Kent in September of 1911

If someone could help with this that would be great

There is no registration that fits registered qrt ending Sept 1911.

Chances are is that she was registered in the next quarter where we have


Mary A L Baker
Birth registered qrt ending December 1911
Canterbury
Vol 2a
Page 1725

Mother's maiden name is given as Baker as well which seems a bit strange.


To discover the names of her parents you will have to send for the cert if you think this is the correct one.

Thanks Tricia - I imagine thats her and agree the maiden name being the same is slightly strange.
