Hi - first thing is to find them. I've trawled the 1881 census for Brookes of Bristol and there is only one unlikely suspect. Alfred Brookes ran a business as a Drycleaner/Laundry employing 55 people but this is hardly a "Cotton Factory"

Anything more to go on such as dates or names?
