Baptism Lookup - Moreton

Hi, from the census records and my ggrandads birth/marriage certificates I have found my gggrandfather is William Moreton b 1818 at Duffield.  William's marriage certificate shows his father is John, a stone mason.  However, I've had contact with someone who has another William Moreton b 1818 at Duffield with parents John and Elizabeth Oner, occupation is a blacksmith and different family to mine.  Would someone be able to check the parish records for me to see if my William has a baptism record which shows his fathers occupation and hopefully his mothers name.

Hope this makes sense and thanks in advance.

Can you supply a few more details - Duffield Parish Church covers a very large
area.

William born abt 1818, (Father John), When, Where & Who did William marry?

Where does William give as his place of Birth on Census?

Just to put the cat amongst the pigeons, there are no William Moretons baptised in Duffield 1818-19, I checked the parish register

Hi Spendlove & Omskirk - thanks for your replies.

Spendlove - William married a Sarah Briggs in Gillingham, I've found their marriage cert on the Medway Arc link.  I knew from the census records that William had been in the Army and the marriage cert gives his regiment as the 17th which I have been told is the 17th of Foot Leicester Regiment (still trying to find some of his army records).

Omskirk - thats certainly put the cat among the pigeons  Grin I'll have a look and get back to on that if that okay.
