Hi Mike, I too have been waiting for those photos. I can imagine that my great grandfather used the the Ship Inn when he lived at Eston in the early 1860's and before he moved down the road to South Bank. Well done and thank you. His first two children were buried there, I wonder did your timely photography capture their gravestones although he probably could not afford such a luxury.
Thomas Michael Pearce buried 6 Aug 1865 Martha Ann Pearce buried 17 Aug 1865
I would be most interested in seeing them if by chance they had headstones.
Regards, jackh

Hi Mike, Thanks for looking. I recognised your website as soon as the link opened, it must be three years since I looked at it and that was a good reminder to look at it again, thanks. My great grandfather Thomas Pearce was a Charger blast furnace/furnace keeper. He lived at 10 Eston Junction in 1871 where his first children were born then had some children at South Bank. He must have returned briefly to Eston and lived at 25 Miles St before going to live in Middlesbrough by 1884. Just discovered today that he was in No.3 Row No.80H, Eston. in 1861 before he married. Would that give an indication as to where he worked? With sincere thanks, jackh
