What to do with an old NZ war book? "New Zealand at the Front 1917"
« on: Friday 22 February 08 03:46 GMT (UK) »

Dear Chatters, Going through my late mother-in-law's papers, we have found an old book that my brother-in-law reckons should be in a Museum.

"New Zealand at the Front" written and illustrated in France by Men of the New Zealand Division.  - Cassell and Company, Limited.  London, New York, Toronto and Melbourne. 1917.

It has some colour plates inside.  And other than the front cover has come off, it is in pretty good condition.  The inscription says "Stephen Hughes 13.08.1921", he was her father {born 1910 NZ died 1956} which was part of a pile of books for boys 12 to 14 years.

Any ideas?
Alison from QLD Aust.

If you want to sell it I'm sure there are takers on trademe or similar
But if you want it to go to a good home, what about Waiouru or Auckland War museum, they can be contacted by email to see if interested

I would be interested in it! I collect books of WWI and in particular those of areas NZ servicemen were involved in.
