Hi All,

Im stuck with my research at the moment and hope someone can help me.

Im looking for the birth/bap of a Martha Buckingham.  I know she married in Abingdon

in 1787 as i found her on the PRs but i cant find a birth for her. I have all info from 1787

so in order to go back i need this. If anyone can find her id be very grateful.

Hi Sue

We could do with a little more info if poss - do you have a burial for Martha ? did it give an age ?  where did she live when she was married ? childrens names can sometimes give clues to other possible family members particularly if they are unusual.  Do you have any of this?

Hi Debbie,
Martha married a Robert Stimpson in Abingdon in 1787 this i know is right. There is a death i found in Tubney for a Martha in 1825 age 79 but im not sure its the right one as she would have been about 41 i think when she married  Hope thats right.  Smiley  I am in fact finding it very difficult to find either of them in either births or deaths. I have found their children but ive not got the info to hand at the moment. I have tied this family in with my family in the early 1900s and i am struggling to get back any further so any possible births for a Martha anywhere would be helpful.
Hope im making sense here but my thoughts are as Martha was listed as otp when she married maybe the family moved to Abingdon when she was young. Ive also searched PRs for any possible parents but have had no luck. Debbie i would be grateful for any advice you can give me on this.

Hi Woozle,
I remember now. I helped you with the marriage of Robert. At the time i didnt think

he would be anything to do with my lot of Stimpsons but after getting further back he and Martha

seem to fit into mine. I cant get back before their marriage hense the post and nor you so we will

have to see if someone can help us. I think any Martha Buckinghams born in Berkshire would be

a good start and as they married in 1787 maybe a birth about 1750 - 1770.

Thanks for sending PM its really helpful.
