My 3x gt grandfather was Thomas Faulkner he is down  on the census  born Hartshorne Lincs 1811. I can only find Hartshorne Derbys. I would love some help on this please a possible birth and even parents for him. I have found a couple in Bretby which I see by the map is very close by this is IGI. Any help at all please. He married Ann b 1815 Walcott and they had 10 children.

Hi Larkspur,

Just had a look at census. The 1871 gives his birth place as Chapel Hill Lincolnshire. 1861 says Walcott. 1851 looks like Harts Ground. Hope this helps someone local to tell where he was from Smiley

Many thanks for that as far as I can see these places were all around Anwick and not far from Sleaford, many thanks for your help- often difficult to see the wood for the trees as it were !!

Hi,
You wouldn't have come across any 'Stenson' in your searching for 'Faulkner', would you. I've got a number of connections (Stenson/Faulkner) but not to an Thomas. Around 1860 to 1880 in Belper
