Christopher Smith bap 1829 Digswell Hertfordshire. The 1881/91 census shows the Smith family living in a caravan at Walpole Road Woodford.
His age at the time of the 1891 census is shown as 56 yrs. I think his wife's name is Rhoda. The 1891 census shows her b Watchfield Warwickshire . Her age in 1891 43 yrs.
If you can help find them it would be a big help.

I had found a death for a Christopher Smith in Ongar, and seeing as Rhoda is shown as a widow in 1901, it's very possible it is him. Would you have the address in Ilford ?

Rhoda is on page 41, at the beginning of 40 it says "Residing in Vans and tents off Ward Lane, Ilford, Essex". No longer there but there is a Ward's Road but that could have come later.
On page 39 there is Aldborough Road.
