Pratts of Cavan Ireland
In the book to South Australia's Shores they Came it states that "1857 in County Ireland a group of youths gathered together and decided to emigrate. Amongst them was Thomas Pratt, coming out on the ship "Frenchman" which arrived in Australia in 1858. The most cherished possessions of the youth Thomas was his Gaelic Bible and a large silk flag carried by his grandfather, a bearer in the civil war between James the 2nd and William of Orange at the Battle of the Boyne in Ireland."
In my family tree I have sisters Ann Verner b abt 1834 and Sarah Verner b abt 1842 in Tyrone Ireland.  Ann Verner married James Pratt b 1830 Ireland and Sarah married Thomas Pratt b 1841 Cavan Ireland. 
I am trying to establish if the James and Thomas are brothers and any information about their ancestors which would confirm the information in the book.

both Ann and Sarah Verner are lsited as married to the Pratts you mention.

It seems that they may have all died in South Australia which is unfortunatyely not online. SKS may be able to look up the death sof all four for you.

there is a cemetery listing for
Thoimas Pratt 1887
James Prat  1891
Sarah Pratt 1891 and 1926 the latter matches the info on the IGI
the only Ann was 1917 for Ann Elizabeth

Thanks for the reply. Since posting the request I have established that James & Thomas (brothers) married sisters (Ann & Sarah).  I had found their death dates, etc but did not know that they were buried in Willaston so have added that to the family tree.  James & Thomas's father & mother were buried in the Two Wells cemetery. 
Unfortunately I cannot seem to trace any further back than John Verner & Jane Verner (nee Scott) - they arrived in Port Adelaide on the 17 Mar 1857 on board the Monsoon.
