She married Simeon Rhodes, he was born 1870 in Bradford.

She apparently went to work as a maid to the vicar of Idle Parish Church as a teenager. Not sure of the years, but was living with her parents at 16 in 1891.

According to http://www.calverley.info the vicar of the church was a William Marshall, I've checked him for 1901 too and she's not with him. Presumably she met Simeon when she was working for the vicar.

Ok is he the one listed as Simon in 1901, living with brother James?? If so, I have checked pages either side to see if she is about in neighbourhood, as my elusive Priscilla does that in 1891, as a boarder in the next street to my gt grandad that she later marries, and still nothing Sad

Yes that's him. I've checked all his siblings too, just in case, she's not there either.

I've looked through all the permutaions I can think of for Idle parish in 1901, she doesn't appear to be there. Any other info?

Only that they were married at Bolton Parish Church, Bradford (1903) and were both residing in parish of Bolton at the time. After they were married they lived in Undercliffe. I checked the address they went to live at - someone else was living there in 1901.

I did wonder if she's been married twice, but can't find anything.

I think I will leave Eliza to her mysteries tonight - (I'm in Australia and it's almost 11pm here).
