Orphanage info request

I'm trying to find Jane Elizabeth Theobold. Born 1909 and orphaned whilst a young child. She was said to have been raised in an orphanage in Durham. I wonder if anyone has any knowledge about orphanages in the area at this sort of time. I think her father may have been a miner.
