Tinkerbell,

1881 census:
Chaddleworth

Isaac SPRULES, Wid, 56, Ag Lab, b Berks Brightwaltham (almost certainly Brightwalton)
James SPRULES, Son, 24, ditto, Chaddleworth
Caroline SPRULES, Daur, 15, (no occ), ditto
Frances H SPRULES, Daur, 12, Scholar, ditto
Naomi SPRULES, Daur, 9, ditto, ditto
Eva A GUNTER, Grd Daur, 11m, (no occ), Fawley

In the 1891 census, Eva is listed in the Wantage Union Workhouse. edit - shown as born Chaddleworth
Looks like you will need a certificate to find her parents.

Regards
Harry

PS: Remember that all of the births listed are for Wantage Registration District

Thanks Harry,
I did see Eva on 1891census as being in the Workhouse.

Would someone be kind enough to see if they can find Eva Gunter on 1901.

Eva was definitely not in Wantage workhouse in 1901 (enumeration starts at RG13/1135 folio 74 p1).

Here's some interesting background re Wantage workhouse, with photos:

I'm not sure who Pam is - but the reason I looked for Eva in the workhouse in 1901 was because she'd been there in 1891.  Needed to rule that out.

Anyway, like Harry I can't find her anywhere in 1901.
