I found a marriage of Frederick Hedden to a Susan MURCH
sept q 1863

then I realised that the children with them in the above 1871 census were born prior to their marriage ...so I went back to 1861

Trying to find Susan Murch's maiden name ...the closest marriage I can see that would fit is;
Alexander MARCH = Susanna WOLLACOTT

which is where Alex was born .
Alexander MURCH dies Mar q 1863 in Plymouth. (Susan didn't take long to get married again ...   )

Okay ..I have looked at the 1881 and see that there is Blanche Baker , 3 , niece with Frederick Heddon.
There is this birth:
Blanche Matilda Baker mar q 1878, Plymouth.
Matilda was Frederick's mother's name... In 1851 ..
