I am the ggranddaughter of this lady. From various census I am led to believe that she was born in about 1832 and died between 1861 and 1871. However, recent documents discovered at my mum's house say she was born on 10 December 1837 (and died on 6 October 1869).
I cannot find either of these events on the IGI or BMD, although there is an entry on the IGI giving an estimated birth of 1832 and estimated death of 1881. I would like to correct the entry on the IGI which also gives the wrong place of death. She was born and died in Haddenham, Bucks.
Does anyone know how to correct the wrong entry on the IGI and if anyone is going to the Bucks archives could they check if there is anything in the baptismal and burial registers that would confirm the dates of her birth. Any other information would also be gratefully received.

You can't correct entries on the IGI. The purpose of the IGI is basically a religious part of the ceremonies of the Church of the Latter Day Saints (Mormons) and are concerned with judgement day and the resurrection of the saints. They are not particularly interested in the accuracy of dates and places once someone has been identified.

Thank you for that - looks as if the census is right and the note of date of birth found at Mum's is wrong - maybe she has written 1837 when she meant 1832
