Alston burials
« on: Sunday 24 February 08 18:13 GMT (UK) »

Hi

Does have have access to Alston burials 1828 - 1841?

Trying to find Thomas Walton whose last child was baptised in 1828 & doesn't appear on the 1841 census.

Cheers

So many WALTONs in Alston!  92 buried there 1826-38.

National Burial Index has

21 June 1837 Thomas WALTON (57)

Hi Geoff

Tell me about it & they all have the same names.

He looks likely, i'll look into him further.

I didn't think the NBI had any coverage for Cumberland.

Cheers

Hi again Geoff

Can you see if there's a Phe(o)be Walton born ca 1828 & a Margaret Walton born ca 1820 please if you don't mind.

Cheers

25 Aug 1829 Phoebe WALTON age 11months

Hi Geoff

Thanks for checking them.

So it's possible Margaret lived into adulthood & married.

Cheers
