Hi Mshrmh,

Ive been having a look today. I found a bit out about Martha but nothing that relates her to Doris just joseph. Martha was born 1885 and died 1948. It looks like she never married but my dad say's he can remember going to see his Grandad when he was dying. I think I have found Martha's parents too...William and Fanny Glover.

I have been in touch with Huntingdon Regisration Office to see if I can get Doris' birth certificate...just waiting for them to get back to me.

Hiya Mrs Muriel

Have you got access to the census?

If not give me a yell I think I've found Martha in 1891

Hiya Willow,

You've found out loads.

That would be great if you could see what you can find on William and Fanny.

I am just waiting for someone to get back to me about Doris birth certificate, hopefully that will tell me something.

Thanks so much for all the info you've found.

Hiya Mrs Muiriel

I think I finally found them in 1851 at Madeley Staffs (transcribed as Bellson)

Thomas Bedson 37 M head b Fustock Shrop ag lab
Mary Bedson 39 M wife b Whitmore Staffs
Hellenor Bedson 14 b Bridgemere Cheshire dau servant
Charles Bedson 3 b Madeley son

HO107/2001 folio 416 page 28

I am guessing Charles is George in the later census. Either he was baptised Charles and was called George or the enumerator put down the wrong name
