Martin Wells Barber Parents

 Huh I cannot locate parents for Martin Wells Barber, sometime sea captain out of Great Yarmouth.  He was born  about 1838, place unknown.  He had at least 2 marriages, one in 1868 and then to Elizabeth Bishop from Eye, Surrey in 1874.  Have found him in the 1881 and 1901 census.  He died about 1910 in Great Yarmouth.  Any help with his parents would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately Martin does not appear in the 1851 census for Norfolk and there r too many Barbers in Great Yarmouth to yeild a clue as to parentage

 Thanks so much - down went one brick wall!!!
Family story is that Martin Wells Barber 'buried two wives in the China Sea' and I did find one other marriage taking place in Liverpool.  We all know that family stories need to be taken with a grain of salt!
