What happened to Finlay Jackson after 1871?
« on: Monday 25 February 08 11:28 GMT (UK) »

Finlay Jackson born c. 1853 in  Ardrishaig. Parents George Jackson (fisherman) and Isabella Mcalpine. Finlay also fisherman. He appears in 1871 Lochgilphead census and then nothing. Maybe he emigrated or drowned at sea, but even then there should have been some sort of paper work, surely. This is one of a few brick walls  that I could really use some help with.

Hi e.v your quite right. I'm working on so many family branches I'm getting things a bit confused. Yes. John and Flora were parents. George Jackson was one of his elder siblings not his old man. My problem with Finlay after appearance in 1871 census still outstanding though.
